Dear Lambton Junior Golf Tour Members, 

Registration for the 2025 Season is upon us and begins on Monday, February 24 th, please see the link below.  Registration for the 2025 season will close on May 20, 202th with NO exceptions.

The 2025 season marks our third season and we have many new and exciting develpments to share.  

Firstly, we will be re-introducing the developmental program we initiated in our inaugural season of 2023 for both the new and less experienced junior golfer.  Details of our developmental  Operation 12 instructional and course play introduction format can be seen below.

Secondly, our Tour has undergone a some schedule restructuring this year with a regular season consisting of 5 qualifying tournament dates followed by a post season Tour Championship date comprised of a limited field of just 24 qualifying players.  This event is being conducted at our new host partner , the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club!  We would like to thank the SGCC for opening their private course to our public players!  At the conclusion of the Tour Championship Tournament, ALL participants including those who did not qualify for the event are invited to join our end of the season awards gala, also to be held at the SGCC on that same date.  We look forward to seeing everyone there to celebrate another phenomenal season of local junior golf.

Tournament 2: Sunday, June 22nd @ Indian Hills Golf Club – Lambton Shores, Ontario

Tournament 3: Sunday, July 6th  @ Kingswell Glen Golf Club - Petrolia, Ontario

Tournament 4: Sunday, Aug 17th @ Huron Oaks Golf Course – Bright’s Grove, Ontario

Tournament 5:  Sunday August 31st @ St. Clair Parkway Golf Course- Mooretown, Ontario

Tour Championship and End of Season Awards Gala

Divisions:

U13 - July 31, 2012

U15 – July 31, 2010 – August 1, 2012

U17 – July 31, 2008 – August 1, 2010

U19 – July 31, 2006 – August 1, 2008

Volunteers will be on site officiating with knowledge of the rules by the R&A and Golf Canada.

Volunteers will be needed.

The Lambton Junior Golf Tour is holding indoor sessions for those that signup for the development program.

Registration for these sessions will be on a  First Come – First Serve basis.  A coach will contact you closer to the date with more details. The deadline to register for this program  is March 14, 2025 and can be found as an option in the registration portal.

Developmental program dates: March 24 and March 31, 2025.

Session choices:  6:00 pm - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Development program details:

New for 2025: We are excited to introduce a junior development program for both new and less experienced golfers. This program focuses on the fundamentals / etiquette and rules of golf, full swing, short game, and on-course skills.

Over the summer, participants will receive 10 hours of instruction from PGA of Canada professionals, lunch at each outdoor session, and swag. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to join our Operation 12 program (details below).

Learn to score, have fun, meet other junior golfers at a similar skill level, and create lifelong playing partners!

Operation 12

Overview: Operation 12 is a program introduced by the SMAA Lambton Jr Golf Tour for the 2025 season. It is designed to help new golfers develop the skills and confidence needed to play on the course.

Program Structure:

1. Starting Point:
   • Golfers begin by playing 3 holes from 50 yards out.

1. Progression:
   • If a golfer scores 12 or less on the 3 holes, they advance to 75 yards.
   • Next, they advance to 100 yards.

1. Graduation:
   • After completing all three levels, golfers become  eligible to play in a 9-hole tournament on the tour.

Goals:

• Ensure junior golfers new to the game do not get discouraged.
• Help build confidence and provide exposure on the course.
• Foster a love for the game in junior golfers.

Excitement: We are thrilled about the opportunity to watch junior golfers fall in love with the game, just as we did!

Cost for all particpants both on the developmental side and tournament players will be $300.

Golfers are required to supply their own equipment - golf clubs, balls, bag, and shoes. Players will walk the course - NO Carts allowed.
