On September 13, 2026 the SMAA LJGT conducted its annual Tour Championship at the St. Clair Parkway Golf Course.   38 players competed at the conclusion of the regular season to be crowned Tour Champions.  Congratulations to all of our flight  winners in each of their respective divisions!

Many thanks to our presenting, tournament and hole sponsrs for their support in 2026!  Many thanks also to our army of volunteers who ensure all of our events are successully staged!

On  July 31st to August 2nd, the boys' and girls' teams competed in the Ontaro Summer Games golf competition held at the Doon Valley Golf Course in Kitchener.

The boys' team consisting of Roen Young, Ryan Teschke, Keegan Turner, Chris Makrigiannis and Isaac MacDonald played admirably over the rain shortened weekend and improved upon our team's overall position from 2 years ago by moving up 1 position and finishing 11th overall.  Team play was highlighted indiviidually by the performance of Isaac MacDonald who finishted T26.

The girls' team consisting of Narisse Daye, Andrea Lai, and Sofia Rocca finished first overall and won gold! This finish backs up the team's 2024  performance that saw the girls' win silver two years ago with Andrea and Narisse once again anchoring the 2026 rendition of the SMAA LJGT team.

Individually Andrea won the gold medal and Narisse captured silver with outstanding performances.   Sofia finished solo 11th.  Simply, outstanding and amazing play!

Well done to everyone who participated in this event.  Surprisingly for the boys this was the first event any of them have ever participated in a tournament convened by Golf Ontario.  

We hope this experience and our results not only fuels their ambition to play in provincial and national events in the future but also inspires the many up and coming players featured by our Tour!

Ontario Summer Games from July 30, 2026 to August 2, 2026 @ Doon Valley Golf Course- Kitchener, Ontario.

The Region of Waterloo will host the 2026 Ontario Summer Games, bringing this marquee junior team competition back onto the Golf Ontario calendar.

Each Junior Golf Pathway Member Junior Tour including the SMAA Lambton Junior Golf Tour will field a team of 6 boys and 3 girls, competing across a 54-hole, 3-round championship, awarding both team and individual titles.

The event remains a key pillar in Golf Ontario’s Junior Golf Pathway, showcasing top emerging players from across the province.
